Around 80 VIP guests, including Megan Gale, Sarah Murdock and Kerri-Anne Kennerley, enjoyed trying on the new, stunning glasses after Alex himself introduced the new collection on stage.

STYLE WATCH: RYAN GOSLING
Ryan Gosling, the man everybody is talking about / watching at the moment, is sporting the tortoise shell round eye frame in the most handsome manner. Even if you can't get the life and fame of one of the hottest actors at the moment, you can certainly get his look with these new beauties from Jeff Banks. Comes in tortoise shell and black. Good luck!

NEW GLASSES FROM ALEX PERRY
At the moment, we are loving the latest, new glasses designed for Specsavers by Alex Perry.
AP 05 in jet black with sharp metal front, black acetate sides with crystal overlay and diamante studs is perfect for evening as well as for dressy day wear. Works a dream with the structured black suit or with the white dress as a contrast. (Psst. Also available in turquoise)
AP 15s sharp silver version with beautiful filigree on the arms, imbedded in translucent / crystal acetate brings out stunning contrasts of delicate, intricate detailing with a powerful shape. The version in purple has the same filigree detailing on the arms, in gold, but with a gradient purple acetate disappearing behind the ear and it is one of my favorites!
Available in all Specsavers stores in November 2011!

RAINDROPS KEEP FALLING...
Rain, rain, rain today in Melbourne. There is only one occasion when I am not comfortable in my glasses and that is when it's raining, and you constantly have to wipe of little drops from your lenses. So, I always keep a good lens cloth in my bag - and a great umbrella... here are some of my favorites, from Willian & Co available at Fulton - I just adore the patterns.
(click on the images for links)
These are great because you can cover your whole face when the rain is approaching sideways. Just look at HRH, the Queen, how she seem to have a whole wardrobe of them, matching with every outfit... Isn't the Birdcage Umbrella by Lulu Guinness adorable?
There are also other prints available, below from Van Gogh (Irises) and an artprint "Raining in Paris" - and you can even make your own print. So many choices... today I have to satisfy myself by staying inside, Just heading out to meet some girls at Chez Dre to plan their travel tour in Europe.

SYDNEY FRAME STYLING EVENT
Me and the lovely Isabelle who was modelling the Gok Wan glasses for me during our Frame Styling tour in Sydney the other day. She looked absolutely stunning in every single pair of them which made my job very easy:-) Plus - she was a dream to work with. Thanks Isabelle for a really nice day!
In this photo (sorry about the quality, just had my little iPod touch with me), Isabelle is wearing the masculine 60s style GW 18 in brown with striped wooden effect acetate - looks awesome with casual wear and jeans but also real cool with a more glamorous outfit and bright red lipstick!
GW 01 and GW 12
GW 18 & GW 14 in Mustard Tips!! Will look awesome with navy blue outfit...
Everyones favorite - GW 04 Black cat's eye
GW 18 with tinted lenses - perfect as sunglasses!
Hairstylist Michael was giving everyone Retro hair for the day to go with the glasses....
... and he even found a pair himself! GW 16 in black flat sheet metal
... and again, every girls favorite was the GW 04 in black or Ivory!
Lovely Make up artist Alison found her favorite too in the ivory GW 04 and she complemented my 50s style hair, by Michael, and GW 02 Ivory white with a bright orange lipstick (Morange by M.A.C)! Loved it, thanks!
And, in case anyone is wondering about my beautiful new purchase in the shape of a gorgeous, flowery silk jacket / blouse - it's from Winter Kate!
